Borehole Depth SRS

This spatial reference system (SRS) provides context for values representing the approximate location of an underground geological sample. Its members are 1-dimensional scalar values which can be approximately geo-located with the aid of the encompassing borehole's coordinates and spatial reference system. The value indicates the distance the drill travelled from the surface to the location of the sample below ground: it does not represent the displacement of the sample from the surface or from the borehole entrance.
