Previous activities

The Australian Water Data Infrastructure Project (AWDIP) was established under the national component of the Natural Heritage Trust to facilitate national assessments of Australia’s water resources. This will be achieved through the ongoing development of a comprehensive and accessible national water information framework, to support ongoing water reforms.

At the last meeting of the Audit Advisory Council, NLWRA staff successfully demonstrated a live connection to water data from NSW, Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia using the NSW NRAtlas.

Check out the demonstration for yourself - instructions here.

NSW Water Quality Data Publishing project

DIPNR NSW is undertaking a WaterQualityDataPublishing project with CANRI funding.

The project aims to serve water quality data online through Web Feature Server standard technology. It will support graphing and downloading of water quality data, but will also be applicable across all natural resource management datasets for a wide range of business functions and many external partners, including indicator reporting for CMAs, SoE and the NLWRA.

We will also create a WFS schema as a candidate national water quality data web service standard.
