GPlates Markup Language - version 1.5 (upcoming release)

The next scheduled release of GPML is version number 1.5. This will be the first major upgrade from the original PLATES text format to a feature-centric information model using GML. GPML is able to apply plate tectonic reconstructions to geological features, representing data in present-day coordinates for reconstruction, or converting to paleo-coordinates for export to other programs that are unable to reconstruct data themselves.
